Wishing you all a filled February! I do appreciate you SO much for reading my LinkedIn features update every month. Funny thing, LinkedIn keeps changing so there's always a lot to share. So let's jump in........
Start a new post directly from your profile. Save time!
Here's a super cool profile feature. I guess this one was here for some but just appearing for others. Try it out....Create a live link in your About summary section. Then check it out on your mobile device.
A new INTERESTING setting may be coming your way. LinkedIn is testing the ability for us to turn off political content. This is a US test now.
Linkedin now notifies us if someone from our college has just joined LinkedIn. Not sure if this is really here or just a test feature.
Linkedin is testing new profile video options.
Use the three dots to indicate "I don't know" when receiving a message from someone you don't know.
Several interesting options at the top of the main feed, such as "Suggestion of who to follow"
Also at the top of your feed, LinkedIn will be asking you which topics you are interested in such as self-employment, start-up tips, work-life balance, or job interviewing
New search experience
Additional CRM insights such as "at-risk opportunities"
New home page and ways to prioritize and bookmark
LinkedIn is launching a new podcast network. That's a wow!
Look for integration between Microsoft Teams and LinkedIn Profile. Another wow,
I am now doing LinkedIn Audio events most weeks. These are usually on Mondays at noon EST. YOu will hear about these directly if you go to my profile and click on the BELL feature
Yes go and click on the bell to be notified!! THEN, when you see the post, just register and add it to your calendar!
Here is a run-down of the topics that I have been discussing: (or are scheduled). I post the dates and guest speakers in the top Experience section of my profile!
I look forward to seeing your comments and additional ideas!
This was after my recent webinar for this amazing group!

FROM MILENA: "Sandra has compiled a comprehensive, practical, and extremely valuable guide to the LinkedIn platform. This was the most impactful and helpful reading on the subject I have found to date. With the rise of LinkedIn as THE professional networking platform, this thorough and detailed book guides all that want to raise their presence and visibility. All the sections are well-written, with simple tips and examples. Lots of good information. A must-read."
FROM VICKI: "As a career advisor, I have read several LinkedIn books in the past, but none as insightful and comprehensive when it comes to personal branding. Sandra Long’s book is a treasure trove of information, is easy to follow, and her Reader Resources are a thoughtful and useful complement at the end of each chapter. After reading this book, I personally feel more confident talking about personal branding and LinkedIn with students and Alumni. The book has also expanded my view on the role LinkedIn plays in shaping first impressions, building credibility or “social proof”, as mentioned in the book."
Thank you, Milena and Vicki!!! Every review is priceless to me!
