Hello Friends​

I am sending my monthly LinkedIn feature update a smidge early this month because of Black Friday. You will understand more as you read further. Let's start where we always start off - with the newest LinkedIn features. Some are announced and others are in Beta testing. Shall we get started with some feature updates?

 

 

LinkedIn Updates – November 2023

 

For Companies:

👉 Super exciting new FEATURED section for company pages. Look to see if your company has access. Right now you can feature a recent company post. It will be interesting to see if we can add other media here in the future. This is what I saw as I logged into the page. ⬇️

👉 Look for additional messaging options for company pages with multiple admins.

👉 Company page admins will now find action reminders. Basically, you will be reminded to follow up on page activities such as replying to a comment. Nice idea.

 

For Salespeople:

👉 LinkedIn is rolling out "Account IQ" which is an AI-generated account summary including strategic priorities, business challenges, competitive landscape, and what the company leaders are saying on LinkedIn. Available December 6.

👉Navigator users should look for the new "Relationship Map" which is a flexible, shareable, visual representation of buyer circle hierarchies, built by reps to help them track all the spheres of influence around their deals. This will lead to stronger collaboration, more multithreading of connections, and enhanced visibility into any account. Available December 6. Nice

For Creators:

👉 Newsletter authors will be getting additional metrics to help them analyze their content. In addition, you will now be able to embed Instagram photos/posts; and GIFS into newsletter articles provided they are under 500 frames and less than 5Mb in size.

👉 Several creators have noticed that posts are being indexed on Google more. Good news.

👉 Carousel posts are not moving forward out of the beta test. Many people confuse carousel posts with document posts, by the way. Carousel posts are comprised of mixed media. Document posts should be safe, fingers crossed. They are very popular.

👉 Coming; AI content summaries for premium users.

 

For Job Seekers

👉 New filters for job searching include looking for connections who are "actively hiring." This is fantastic and I hope job seekers will leverage their network to move their career in the best direction.

👉 Find out how many other applicants are applying for the same job on LinkedIn.

👉 Profile videos are going away for good as of December 11. Here's my post.​

👉 LinkedIn is just now reaching the one billion user mark. Here's my post about the news. Additionally, LinkedIn's Chief Product Officer wrote this article about the milestone and how the company is introducing several AI features for premium users. Here is the article.​
