Dear friends,
I hope your June was productive and interesting for you. The summer flies by every year. I feel that June is more jam-packed than ever before.
Many of my clients are trying to get their teams trained before summer vacations begin to happen. And some University clients want workshops in the Summer this year, and I am game for that.
I had a busy month due to all the interest in the new book. So it was a fun month book-wise.
Let's dive right into the new LinkedIn features first.
π Here's a good indication of LinkedIn content priorities. In the post search, Collaborative Articles have been added. The job posts and newsletter searches were removed. I wish we could have ALL of it in the search filter options. Please give me your opinion of this in my post.β
π Looking for a post from a few years ago? Now it should be easier as the search filters in posts now show up to a 3-year window.
π Newsletter Updates. First, comments are moved to the right side of the article. Second, we are getting more embed options within each article.
π Look for more AI-powered insights for the Business, Recruiter & Sales Navigator Premium levels.
π Do you see a camera icon on posts or comments within the mobile app? You can take a photo on the spot to upload and share as part of the conversation. Additionally, you can pull from your photo gallery.
β
βπ Look for new "actively hiring" prospects in the updated People search.
π Use AI functionality to create a cover letter, match your qualifications to a job with "Job Assessment," or get resume feedback if you have premium.
π Job Seekers with a Premium subscription can get AI help to draft a cover letter and do a conversational job search. This means you can type in what you are looking for and AI will automate the search process.
π There is another AI feature that I believe is open to everyone. It's known as an AI-powered job assessment which helps you understand the fit for the role. Find out if the job matches your preferences, skills, and qualifications.
β
π Now you can more easily find saved posts, events, and groups. Go to your home feed. Look to the far left under your profile box and the viewer data.
πSpeaking of that profile box, look for a truncated 55-ish-character headline and a more visible location.
π Find notifications settings in the mobile app under "notifications." This is worth scrolling through and updating.
πLook for "conversations for you" under notifications. LinkedIn is proposing interesting content for you.
π Now you can hire a LinkedIn Learning instructor for personal support.
π Invite first-level connections to your event more easily with the "Invite all" pop-up feature. This allows you to invite all the first-level connections in the search display.
π Look for "suggested posts" that are displayed when you visit a group. LinkedIn is trying to stimulate activity and engagement.
πOverwhelmed or not satisfied with your notifications? Click on the three small dots to manage your notification preferences.
π Looking to create a more relevant home feed? Look for +Follow and add to your feed on the right side menu.
